How do I get my forklift licence in Australia? FREE INFORMATION

Description

How do I get my forklift licence in Australia?

  • You can only get your licence via a registered training organisation (RTO). The RTO may be a private company or a government TAFE.
  • At the RTO you must pass the requirements of the unit of competency TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck. Training will be both theory and practical. The final test will be given using the national assessment instrument (NAI). It has three parts being Knowledge, Calculations, and Performance. A WorkSafe/Workcover approved assessor will conduct the test.
  • The forklift licence is national and can be used anywhere in Australia.
  • The forklift licence comes in the form of a picture ID similar to a driving licence.

Elements in the Forklift Truck unit of competency are:

Element 1 – Plan work/task

Element 2 – Prepare for work/task
