Queensland and New South Wales currently licenses some earthmoving plant and machinery.
In 2012 units of competency from the RII09 Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package will form the main training pathway throughout Australia.
A Statement of Attainment from a registered training organisation (RTO) for an RII09 unit of competency will be officially recognised throughout Australia. This national training package has earthmoving units of competency for both civil construction and mining.
